I had an extended stay at the Big 7 Motel in Chula Vista and it was a very pleasant stay. My room was clean, cozy and a good value. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. If I needed more towels, tp, bed linen or if I simply locked myself out of my room and needed another card key to get in, they were happy to help me. The housekeeping staff are all really friendly and helpful with any requests you may have.

IGNORE TH# RECENT BAD REVIEWS (MAJORITY OF EM ARE FAIKE FROM PEOPLE WHO STAY ACROSS THE ST) +The Staff here happen to be the new owners who are some of the nicest people I've ever met and go above and beyond in ensuring hotel stays up to a certain standard. *Rooms have all been remodeled and are kept EXTREMLY CLEAN ( * By far the best rates and lowest deposit you can find in Chula Vista.

The Best Hidden Gem Hotel in Chula Vista and honestly the only budget hotel I feel comfortable staying at! I seriously encourage everyone to check it out specially if you stayed here before the new ownership. (Literally completed redemmed its self for our the things that were wrong with Hotel) +All rooms Remodeled and Super Clean +Family run motel by one of the most kind and caring familys I've ever met +VERY VERY CLEAN (house keeping checks on me everyday to see if I need service) +Finally a place that feels SAFE (New Owners keeps a VERY TIGHT LEASH on Sketchy Behavior and have very high standards to have there hotel safe for familys) +Lowest Deposit you can find (which I was super thankful and surprised since all the rooms are remodeled) +Perfect area next to 711 and various dining options as well as public transportation close by +Walking distance for Casino n multiple bars

I checked in yesterday. However it's been a good stay so far with the exception of one inconvenience. I am happy with my room, lots of natural lighting and can open the window for fresh air. It's a very CLEAN room and spacious as well. Great tv selection and I can watch my favorite channel. Overall very pleased so far.

I recently had an extended stay at the Big 7 Motel, during a major transition in my life- almost six months in fact. There is plenty of parking- but it can get full on weekends. I never had a problem parking. The lot is very well maintained. While I was there- they resealed it, replaced the cement parking stops, and repainted it. They also started to add potted plants to liven it up, and I was happy to provide bags of garden soil for the cause! The building was also in the process of being repainted. The only downfall- old lighting hardware on the building meant that the wonderful blue lighting was sometimes finicky. The building is slowly being renovated- but don’t worry it’s all during times when the majority of guests have either checked out or not checked in yet. In the nearly 6 months there- I was surprised how little disturbed I was by the renovations. The front of the building needs a little TLC, but I understand they have plans for it. The pool was drained and I’m not sure if it works, it it would have been great to have a pool and use of the space. As for staff- I can not say enough as to how wonderful they all were. From the management to the house cleaners- everyone was helpful, nice, and kept the rooms clean. They are remodeling room by room and slowly fixing up the place. It is managed by a lovely couple who live on the first floor with their respectful children. They are nice people. Hard working and attentive to any issues you may have. I needed some paint to a door and they took care of it. They were always helpful, friendly and welcoming. A prior tenant took apart my smoke alarm, and I told them about it at 11.30 at night and within minutes I had a new one. For the holidays- I brought a Christmas tree and other window decorations and they allowed us to decorate the space, and bring toys for their kids and other kids in the hotel during the holiday break. I spent the majority of my time in my hotel painting or reading. And it was a goo
